*** worthless check writers beware of morgan county deadline ***

Decatur, AL – bob burrell, morgan county’s district attorney, is warning worthless check writers that a roundup will be held in morgan county during the month of september.  Burrell wants to make sure that those individuals with outstanding warrants in the morgan county worthless check and restitution recovery units are aware that their deadline for avoiding arrest is the close of business on Tuesday, september 11, 2007. Anyone who has not paid in full by that date is subject to arrest. 

burrell also cautioned offenders that the deadline in morgan county is not the same as that imposed in limestone county for the roundup currently underway there.  if you have an outstanding warrant in either the morgan county worthless check unit or restitution recovery unit, please contact the district attorney’s office to make payment arrangements before it is too late.
