Wesley M. Lavender, A.D.A.
Wesley "Wes" M. Lavender serves as an Assistant District Attorney on a
part-time basis and specializes in felony litigation.
Mr. Lavender's civil practice office
is located in the City of Decatur. In addition to his civil practice
and work with the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Lavender also serves as
Municipal Court Judge for the
Town of
Falkville, Alabama, and as the City Attorney and Prosecutor for the
Town of
Somerville, Alabama.
Wes has trial experience in civil, domestic relation and/or criminal courts of
Morgan, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Cullman, Colbert, Franklin, Colbert,
Marshall, Jefferson, Montgomery and Lauderdale Counties. Appellate experience in
the Court of Civil Appeals, Court of Criminal Appeals and the Supreme Court of
Alabama
In 2000 Mr. Lavender was included in Strathmore's Who's Who which
recognizes men and women who have achieved a level of excellence in their
professions. Wes served as Vice President of the Morgan County Bar Association
in 2005-2006, and as was elected to the office of President of that organization
for the 2006-2007 term.
Wes has attended the Ernest F. Hollings National Advocacy Center at the
University of South Carolina for "Silence Voices: Focus on Victims of Sexual
Assault."
